- the Coup d’etat music series -

Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton
Glenn Dickson

Stillbirth is the solo performance project of Luke Moldof, channeling feelings of extreme weakness through carefully crafted minimalist compositions. The music is an output of pure frustration and as a result can prove painful to the casual listener. Luke Moldof received a bachelors of performance in jazz studies from the New England Conservatory of Music, but the aim of stillbirth is to connect or disconnect with the audience on an emotional not musical level. So far there have only been three limited cassette releases on Luke Moldof’s own Razors and Medicine label. Luke has also worked as a member of Craniopagus, Catholic Skin (formerly Violence Jazz), Food, and various improv and drone related projects and collaborations.

Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton
Boston whippersnappers Andrew Fenlon & his lovely lady pal do a blurry traipse through toys, guitars, computers, broken speakers, unidentifiable stuff with cables curling out of it, & so on.

Glenn Dickson I am the bandleader of Naftule's Dream and Shirim Klezmer Orchestra. My solo project explores electro-acoustic soundscapes/compositions on the clarinet using a microtonal pallete which I learned from playing and studying with Joe Maneri. Drawing on years of playing klezmer, Greek, jazz and free improvisation, the compositions range from meditational/ambient to very folk-influenced to dense, multi-layered tone poems. In addition to leading and performing with Naftule's Dream and Shirim, I have performed and sometimes toured and recorded with Hypnotic Clambake, Joe Maneri, Taximi (Greek) and have been featured on the soundtracks of the feature films "A Stranger Among Us" (Sidney Lumet) and "Deconstructing Harry" (Woody Allen).
