Xela, Perispirit, Brendan Murray

3.25.2010

Semata Productions Presents:
[CdT029]
Wednesday, April 7th 2010 - 8pm

Xela - John Twells now based here in Boston — where he runs his Type imprint and casts out dark, yet never suffocating, compositions under the XELA pseudonym. Recent releases have been on labels such as Dekorder, SMTG Limited and Digitalis. Twells will be joined by Jim Siegel on percussion.

Perispirit - First show in 8 months; in that time Perispirit has been carefully crafting the next step in their sound. Utilizing concrete, collage, tape music and harsh noise as a foundation for their unrelenting sound, Perispirit's new direction has taken their compositions to new heights. Welcome to the future.

Brendan Murray - Local drone superhero; tonight Brendan will play a short set with avant vocalist Noell Dorsey, using live sampling/re-sampling of her voice similar in vein to the new split LP with Perispirit - then Brendan will drop the bomb on us all with a brief solo set.
